Nanocom or iid tool
Hi guys,
I am looking for a tool for my D3 05 hse to ad 4x4 info on the sat/nav, update the car software, read the diagnostics and adjust the ride height because I want to fit bigger tires or should I fit lifting rod kit. Which tool should I buy I am thinking about a nanocom or a iid tool bluetooth.
Thnx

I had the Nanocom for both my TD5 Discovery and my P38 and although it was a good bit of kit, I cannot recommend the GAP IID enough.

IID BT every time! Just as an example, needed to do a Secondary Battery reset on mine. My Indy tried with SDD - failed, Autologic - failed, so plugged my IID in and all done in about 15 seconds D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT
D4 MY13 HSE Lux - RLD/IID BT
P38 RR - Sad parting
110 - Even sadder parting
S3 88" - Still going strong after 23 years of ownership

More importantly for the IID the back up from Gap on this forum seems excellent, plus its all been doen before so if you get stuck a few minutes searching and you have your answer.

Another vote for the IID Tool, not only for what it does, but the back up from Gap is second to none, have no experience of the Nanocom but the have experienced the back up from them, not over impressed.

Ok, I'm convinced I can do with a GAP IID, but money, as always, is the issue though.
Is there a big difference between the BT and Dash readout one??
Cheers

I had one of the first edition iid tools, which was dash only but upgraded to the bt version and never regretted it.
Just being able to read more than one live value and to save for later comparison/analysis is worth the extra, let alone the ease you can see and do everything.Mark.

Is the same tool the go to diagnostics tool for the late 4's?
GAP tool every time, the after sales service if second to none, my tool is well outside its warranty date, I had a small issue, Patrick from GAP was on the case without being asked.
