Tyre pressure when cold
Should I make allowance for cold weather when checking tyre pressures?

Pressures should always be done when cold.

As the weather gets colder, you will find tyre pressures will drop ( and vice versa), so yes they should be adjusted to give the correct pressures at whatever the outside air temp is. Within reason of course, I don't mean adjust them every day, maybe every month or two D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.

I know that Al!
Was increasing pressures to tow the caravan and with outside temp being below freezing wonder how much extra to inflate over usual.

So you're saying just keep them at the normal levels.

Yes, i'm saying keep them at the recommended pressures, just that you may notice them drop a bit as the weather gets colder. ie.....If you set the fronts at say 33 psi in October, by January, they would be down to maybe 29 / 30 ish just due to lower temps. My fronts look flat at 33psi I tend to put 36 in, and have even been known to try 38.

I found 36/40 f/r was to hard, now on 34/38 and grip and general handling is better overall, PirelliI ATR.
Wife still reckons it handles like a giant jelly

been messing around with tyre pressures
started with F30 rear 33 but at motorway speeds it felt a abit twitchy , drifting
tried f33 rear 36 and seems abit better
think it's also getting useto a bigger landy , coming from a hippo
