Heated Steering Wheel (again) |
|
Just changed my wheel (MY14) for heated one from MY15. Did need a new clockspring as mine is an XS and also assumed that enabling would be required but it seems to work fine. Just wondered if there is something I don't know about? Grateful for any observations.

Could the car have had a heated wheel fitted by a perevious owner and removed it for sale prior to you buying the car or did you buy it new
Or are you saying the wheel is not enabled in the CCF and still works

Thanks for your comment. Car definitely came from factory without as the original clockspring was not heated. Just curious as to why it works without enabling. On the other hand the ccf might be ticked. Seems strange though as from what I read on here, no enablement means no heat, on D4 anyway.

Not all D4's
It seems to depend on year of car and of wheel/ switchpack being fitted
