2nd Service cost -
Just wanting to get some quick comparisons -
2nd service, 64 plate, 28,000 miles.
£683 fixed cost !!!!! Stratstone Gloucester Land Rover?
Really wanted to get it serviced using a dealer (stealer!) as it will be the last under warranty.
It was over £400 for the 1st service?
Thanks

Try getting quotations from other LR dealers , Listers Shukers etc from around this area & ask Stratstone to price match . I have used quotations from Dealer in Aberystwyth (Cambrian Motors) to act as a lever before now.

Wow that makes the £699 5 year service plan look like a right bargain, I had no idea they were so expensive individually.

It certainly is, when I bought my MY2015 service plans weren't available and I've paid £743.14 for the two services whereas the service pack are £699 for 5 years Cheers Ian

as suggested I'd shop around, and put the monies saved towards extending the warranty incase you hadn't considered it... see other posts on snapped crankshafts.

Quoted £680.00 at Guy Salmon Coventry and £699.00 at Listers Solihull
Had the first service at GS last year so went again and cheaper quote. Got past the 4 woman at the front desk but then waited 45 mins to actually book car in and hand over keys.
I had a moan about it and when I returned to collect my car got £60.00 off the bill and a bottle of wine!.2015 Discovery 4 SE Tech

One gets the impression that owners without a service plan are subsidising those that are lucky enough to have them Discovery 4 HSE
