Stereo change from oem to oem

Simple question. Can the stereos be swapped without issue? The light is fualty on mine so want to swap for like for like.

I have tried to search but can't find a definitive answer. I've heard they're unique to the ecu. But then I'm sure I've read that people have swapped.

Panic over. I took the stereo out and took the front off. One of the two ribbon connectors had come lose.little bit fiddly but got it back in and it's all working fine again Thumbs Up

Just to clarify, if you have the base stereo (the one with 1-6 number buttons) then you can swap for any D3 stereo that has the same 1-6 buttons.

If you have the hi line stereo, with number buttons 0-9, you can swap those for any D3 stereo that has the same 0-9 buttons.
But you can't swap a base stereo with a hi line stereo and expect it to work. Thumbs Up
