LOW FUEL WARNING - FBH LOCKOUT
I thought I would remind everybody not to let their fuel get low during winter and to top up at quarter tank. For the record the FBH will go into "Lockout" if the fuel light comes on. Just tested mine minutes after fuel light came on and yes Fuel related Lockout code for the FBH....
Happy winter motoring folks

Well i have started my D3 many times with the fuel light on and below 4/5 degrees, popped up the garage to put fuel in and the FBH lights ok. Presumably the lockout code is temporary.

It will reset when fuel is added, but some wont and need a tool on it to clear it. I did one today that had just this happen to it.

What dippy twonk, programs a vehicle to potentially need a dealer visit, because you are low on fuel one morning.
I would think that the low fuel info' is not getting to the FBH, so it just tries to light, then fails, and returns a fault. ??

Later FBH versions do not lockout following a low fuel fault and will restart when the fuel has been topped up. Most FBH versions will move a low fuel fault from active to stored, or removing it completely, by cycling the FBH fuse. There are a few early FBH and vehicle combinations that require a diagnostic tool to reset after 3 low fuel restarts. To add further confusion there is a difference between CANBUS starts and an FBH WBUS start too.
So simple really.
