I recently did a triple flush of the gearbox and the gear changes were very smooth but i was still getting the California Stop clunk so decided to update the gearbox software and Pat sorted the flash via the iid tool.
So with Pat on speed dial last night i sat in the dark and did the flash, i must admit that after 8 mins i was bricking it but then all the lights came on and off and the Flash Successful message put the smile back on my face .
The Results, Well amazing is the only word i can use the clunk has totally gone the gear changes are almost unnoticeable she changes gear at a lower speed and the biggest change is i am now convinced that pre the update the gearbox was holding onto first when coming to a stop as i never felt over happy with the brakes but after the update when coming to a stop im having to release pressure on the brake pedal as its pulling up muck quicker.

I installed it about a year ago with the same excellent service, there are undoubtedly improvements, the main one I found was when towing uphill and the 'box kicks down to fifth gear gear, it changes down much sooner and the frightening "take off" sensation has gone, I hope the California stop does not return like it did on mine, one day we will find the real cause and cure of it It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
