Epb problems since break down????

D3 broke down last week diagnosed as alternator bracket snapped so new tentioner and alternator

Since picking it up every morning the engine starts fine press down on the epb switch the engine revs die and return to normal when epb is released and amber epb light illuminates then goes once released?

The battery was dead when it went in to the garage and was charged up when everything was replaced

This only happens in the morning not during the day

In my experience, if the battery was allowed to go completely flat, they never really fully recover, so that might be the issue. May be worth checking the voltage when starting

As mentioned above, sounds like the battery slightly down, I had a similar issue

it can be used to check voltage of battery before starting in the morning and if you watch closely when cranking it will show how low the voltage goes but a drop test at a local battery seller will give a better and more accurate reading

BATTERY Thumbs Up Thumbs Up had problems with a ffrr and a "new battery" a few years ago volts were showing 12 v after over night charge but after starting would get all sorts of problems took aa battery assist to find that the battery they had supplied was at fault replaced and no further troubles until engine died .

I have now changed the battery last night for an excide one

No warning lights now but was driving to the school before and the amber epb light did flick on twice??

Literally a flicker! Big Cry

And now my bonnet is always open on the dash now so another job in the list

Any ideas

Done a few journeys now today and after it's sat outside for a few hours it starts fine the epb releases
Fine and pull of fine but as I'm driving for the first 500m the radio flickers and the sat nav screen flickers as the amber brake warning light flashes/flickers?

Confused
