017TE vents and vent hose

I've just bought a 017TE myself and the shipping instructions specify to remove the vent plugs. The pictorial shows to remove a red plug but this is on the negative side of the battery and the original land rover battery is on the positive side of the battery which is where the vent tube is routed to.

Does one need to remove both the red and black plug and if so, which side should the vent tube connect to? Many thanks

Just remove the vent plug on the positive side, and fit your vent tube there, leave the negative one in place.

Steve
