IIDtool Powerfold mirror issue
I have searched high & low and not have found an explanation to this oddity with the CCF config using the IIDtool.
I have an abundance of Mechanical sympathy for the old girl and hearing those damn mirrors creaking and groaning gives me great anxiety. I have turned them from "fitted with Logic" to just "fitted" using the IIdtool.
The issues now is, sometimes they still fold in and sometimes they do not. I have not found a rhyme or reason why this may be. Gap support was not so helpful... Any Ideas??
I could disable them alltogether but would rather not.

maybe.. but I would think that would cause a spontaneous open or close. The problem is only occurring now when I lock the doors from either the key fob or door handle button.2012- Lr4 Santorini Black- 22,000 miles

A drop of silicone lubricant will stop them creaking, I do mine regular. Check the connector's inside the door trim is ok It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Gap didn't name or specify the CCF and those that did did it with little care. If you do something different to normal you may be in the vanguard with such a mod, so a bit harsh to expect Gap to know what everything does.
Those of us wise/stupid/reckless to work the settings out as beta testers do the working out and forward it to Gap, so you can blame us if you like.

If there is one thing I've learned to be a truth in this world, it's that Landy's are quirky. I would still think that surely someone out there in the world would have the same problem, especially since there are plenty of forum post about disabling the mirrors.
If it is a programming issue, then this would be a universal problem I would think. So I either did something wrong, or my truck is unique.
M3dpo: where does one put this drop of oil? I removed the small access cover and applied oil at the pivot point, but I still think I should get it deeper in there.2012- Lr4 Santorini Black- 22,000 miles

No need to remove anything, fold the mirrors and apply it on the pivot and where the swivel part of the mirror rubs on the fixed part, I am talking D3 and assume D4 are similar. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

HI
just this week mine have been doing weird stuff. Sometimes they fold in and sometimes the do not and same for unfolding... Really odd, it must be something has happened either key being pushed by accident for tit to suddenly change.
I will look into this at the weekend.

There is a TSB out for the powerfold mirrors creaking/ sticking. LTB00676V4, involves fitting some washers. 2 washers per side, Part No. WC105002 x4 D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT
D4 MY13 HSE Lux - RLD/IID BT
P38 RR - Sad parting
110 - Even sadder parting
S3 88" - Still going strong after 23 years of ownership
