Removing gvif

Is it best to disconnect the battery before removing my gvif?
Cheers

The bit you refer to is the switch between AVs. Its wired and probably held back with sticky back adhesive, you can lever it off but expect a wire to be at the back.

I didn't disconnect the battery when I was moving my gvif about but it was on ignition live and obviously the ignition was not on at the time.

The Gvif lets you watch tv and add a rear camera to the front screen without going down the oe route and yes its better to disconnect the battery and the push button on dash is stuck on with a double sided tape of sorts Thumbs Up

Well, most of its done, all that's left is a wire up to the back of Sat nav screen, I'll tackle that tomorrow.

I did just let the car go to sleep and every thing was fine.

Thanks for your replies

Does anyone know if this can go in my d4 for tv or is it completely different?

Last wire

Can anyone help me on rmoving this last wire from my GVIF
Photos below

This wire was under the passenger seat to gvif and I take it goes to the back of the sat nav.

Where the brown tape is looks like its just been joined there, shall i just disconnected it there or is it best to try and get it all out up to sat nav?

cheers
