I fear that I don't understand...
He says that he is looking for an "under bonnet CB antenna picture" for a D3. I don't see the point radio-wise and I don't think it even existed but I am searching now...Georgia On My Mind...
Ah! So in French - 'capot' is 'bonnet'....... Why the hell would you want an antenna under there?
FWIW, I reckon my antenna installation is the best place for a D3 without drilling a hole in the centre of the roof

I do agree with you...
Capot in French is the kind of thing that close an opening on a car (Bonnet, Hood), a plane (Trapdoor...) or a boat...
That will give you a verb "Capoter" or a noun "capotage" for when a plane crash land and ends up on its nose (Where the engine use to be in old vintage planes...). That was purely to teach you lot a bit of French !
I tend to agree that your system is probably quite good... Georgia On My Mind...

Does he mean something like this? Sort of emerges between the bonnet space by way of a double L-shaped bit of metal. Sorry, not a very good photo (and also not a D3).
Most of these types of mounts are home made due to the differing spec of points under the bonnet to fix a bracket to.

What Dakota remembers seeing was a picture of a system whereby the antenna was fixed to a metal support under the bonnet/hood. That system was so articulated that even with the hood being raise, the Antenna was still more or less parallel to the windshield wipers.
lefred45 seems to remember that it could have been taken on a white Disco with US plates which makes me think of NLWoods one...
If somebody has another idea ?Georgia On My Mind...
Seen 'somewhere' on this site but can't remember where. Given it was an HF antenna I'd guess it was an 'Ozzy' one. Check out the Austrailia galleries.......
