Hi , Any one know if Island 4x4 in Maidstone Kent is shut down or closed ???? , Put an order in on 23/12/16 and on the website has shown all received and payment ok and order had been updated to processing as 23/12/16 . As of 14/01/17 the order is still shown as processing and they are not answering any emails , to date i have sent 3 but no feedback ,Just wondering if they have gone out of Business , bit far from Oz to do anything more than email . Any feedback appreciated thanks . Al .

If you get stuck let me know as I'm not far away and could call over.
I have used them several times without issue so I'm sure it will just be the Christmas backlog.
They should still respond to your emails and let you know. D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.
I only work so I can afford to repair my Land Rovers!

Thanks 4 the info guys , at least they are still in business . Will email again next week for the 4th time and see if anything transpires , just seems like it has been overlooked as my order page has shown processing since the 23/12 and i would like to see dispatched .
Not sure what the go is with not answering emails ? , does not inspire confidence .

Theyre not very good at answering emails.
Always respond to phone calls.
They had a note for a few days last week saying they had been overwhelmed duevto the Xmas holidays but would fulfil all orders as soon as they could
Realise its difficult for you to phone them.
If you wish to PM me your order number and details, i'll phone them on monday for you

I use them quite a bit and the phones always ringing though no ones answering it!
I reckon in the future they will go internet only as counter customers and phones must be a real pita and a drain on man power.
My mate who used to use them all the time, literally thousands of pounds of parts, gave up and now uses Paddocks.

Paddockmotorspares have got a very good set up both for counter and postal/internet customers, I have purchased both ways and have used them regularly over the years with satisfaction.
They are not far from the Ice Fest if anyone gets cought out for spares It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I've also used them a number of times, mainly because they are cheap and local to me....Trying to support local industry I have spent a few quid with them mainly on service parts for my old P38 but I have not been impressed with the counter staff whom unfortunately I have found mostly unhelpful.... clearly this is the public face of the business and if it was my business they would have a boot up the !
Believe it or not I have found Euro Car Parts ( the antichrist ) to have far better customer engagement and satisfaction!

I used them a few times when I lived over in Perth, always came through pretty quickly. Especially good when I had a D2 stuck on the drive with a broken xyz switch. 2011 D4 SDV6 HSE
2008 D3 TDV6 HSE
2005 D3 V8 SE - left in Oz..
