I've found a nice-looking 2005 model with 74,000 miles on the clock, for sale at just under 10k. The MOT record on Cazana (https://cazana.com/uk/car/LG05VEM) is showing up the following as past probs:
Nearside Front Bonded suspension unit deteriorated but can function as intended (2.4.F.3)
Offside Front Bonded suspension unit deteriorated but can function as intended (2.4.F.3)
Nearside Front Anti-roll bar has slight play in a ball joint (2.4.G.2)
Rear Brake pipe slightly corroded pipe above rear axle (3.6.B.2c)
I haven't yet had a chance to study the service manual to see if any have been rectified, but before I gave the car a look, I was wondering if any forum members could kindly advise me if these are big things?

It's bushes on the wishbone, so provided they've been changed since it's last Mot, then all good. Droplinks change at the same time and some new brake pipe.
I wouldn't be worried about them, but they'll cost you pprox £5-£600 if you're not doing the work yourself. Bodsys Brake Bible

Many thanks for the reply! I appreciate it. The dealer's spec says 'CAMBELT & POLLY BUSHES FITTED!' which is presumably a good sign in that case, and has addressed the suspension problem.
