Rear recovery shackle

Good evening all I seam to remember seeing a picture of a discovery 3 with the rear tow eye cover fitted with some sort of hole cut in it and a shackle sticking out I think it was painted red or yellow if it is your car can you please tell me how you done it or do any of you know who's car it might be I think it's a forum members car

Personally I don't see the point in what your mentioning, as it would reduce the size of the eye on the shackle.
Take the cover off and fit a shackle to the towing eye, a 30 second job Thumbs Up
Either leave cover off or refit once you don't need shackle anymore

A shackle sticking through a hole in the cover can only be for posing. As soon as it moves with a load attached the cover will get wrecked (as if a big hole in it hasn't already done that!).
