Just fitted a cooler into a 15MY, have some questions:
1. On/off switch not illuminating, cooler running fine.
2. Old cooler tray from 12MY doesn't fit properly, there's a gap around the switch area (has 3 compartments whereas one supplied with fridge has 2), I suspect that cooler is out of a D3?
3. Having issues getting the trim which runs up the front/side to sit properly, any pointers?
4. Am I right in thinking D4 fridge is in (even with engine off) until switched off?
As usual thanks in advance.
PaulPaul.

Hi Paul,
My fridge (MY07) has the tray with 3 compartments. I presume this was factory fitted but not 100% sure.
I thought D4 & D3 fridges were interchangeable without issue. As you say, think the D4 fridge stays on even with engine off until battery drops to a certain level.
Hopefully someone who's fitted one will be along soon.....think Del is bit of an expert?

I fitted a D4 fridge to a D3 many, many years ago, can't remember much about the process except the H & centre console came out. Yes, D4 fridge doesn't have the voltage sensors so switches off, it's perm live in a D3 as on the D4 the live feed is on & off with the ignition. Pain if you forget to switch it off.
That's the limit of my knowledge, except my D3 one is ice cold and the chocie bars have a lovely snap.

The switch should be illuminated.
D4 will cut out even when left in ON position when vehicle shuts down.
Have faint mem that fridge or electrics changed from MY14 onwards, think there was an issue with fridge causing other problems and was modifiedD4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

Halo lights
I have fitted halo rings inside the headlights and fog lights and I need a ignition live feed when key on the lights are on
Been told there spare ignition feed in the engine bay fuse box I can't find that one
Is there another fuse I can piggy back from so can complete this task

I had the D3 cooler fitted to my D4 by the dealer when I swapped the car but found the D3 cooler was clicking on and off as I accelerated and throttled back. Something to do with the D3 being very sensitive to battery drain I was told. I swapped the cooler for a D4 model off here and sold the D3 on at the same price. D4 unit works really well and does everything well. I also have the three compartment lid which fits right too.FFRR 2017 4.4SDV8 Autobiography. Cost so much I must be mad!
