Wiper/washer stalk. baffled.

My wiper stalk is fabulous. If I give it a nudge upwards, the windscreen wipers wipe the windscreen. There's a button on the end for skooshing the read window too. They have thought of everything. But wait! What's this. A rotating collar half way down the stalk - it goes from Max to Min and back again but appears to have no function. Still it gives me something to play with.
Any ideas what that collar does?I thought perhaps adjust the sensitivity of the "auto" function but appears to have no effect.

Think thats exactly what its supposed to do, vary the sensitivity of the wipers, can be vague at times Confused

Sensitivity of the auto wipe. Basically how much water it allows to remain on the windscreen before the next wipe.

All of the above Thumbs Up

Front function depends, if you have auto wipers -sensitivity of rain sensor, if not intermittent delay

Which MY does this? I thought the frequency of rear wipes is road speed dependant? Are you referring to D4 or D3 mate?
