Obviously not meant to by the looks of it. Bit odd, never had a car without the red/blue bit illuminated before.

MY MAN, I agree with you actually, did a similar think with my D3 with the air vent control turner thing, after I did it I found out others had done the same.

Funny that, I have never had a car where it does light up.
You have the digital temp display to guide you as to where you are. Much more accurate than red and blue lights part the way round a dial.
However, I'm interested to find out about this mod if you go ahead with it.

Back in the day you would set a pointer n the dial to whatever mix of hot and cold you wanted, but as has already been stated above you now have a digital value of the set temp. Does it really need illuminating when there is an overhead lamp doing just that to the console...Dave
