Electrical Failure on D3

Hoping someone has come across this problem before as Land Rover garage are stumped! Our D3 has been with Land Rover since the beginning of January. The problem is that while driving along the road the following sequence of events occurs: Central locking starts clicking open and closed, indicators fail, radio goes off, heaters go off, sat nav goes off and then the hazard lights start flashing but without showing on the dash. There are no faults or warning lights on the dash.
This problem first started when it had been in the local garage having brake pads replaced and the battery had been run down due to hazard lights being left on over night. The first time it went to Land Rover it had lots of fault codes which were all dealt with and cleared. This ultimately didn't work as the problem still existed as above. Following further investigations from the Master Mechanics at Land Rover it was decided that the only thing it could be is the Hevac (?). This was replaced and once again this has not worked either. Land Rover have been running the car around and cannot get it to fault, but they did this last time for 10 days and said they couldn't get it to fault, but it faulted with me after 3 short trips.
It is probably worth mentioning that if you switch the engine off after this fault it will not start again until it has been left for a good 10 minutes after which it starts again but the problem recurs fairly soon after.
We are now at the end of our tether with this as nobody seems to know what to do with it and I don't feel safe driving our 2 small children and oversized puppy in a car where the central locking keeps opening itself!!

Had similar faults with my old D3

Turned out to be chaffed can bus wire in NSR wheel arch ( there is a couple of connectors behind a little plastic flap )

Definitely a CANBUS issue. I hook-up an oscilloscope, find the bus of concern and work my way around the systems. The fault can be with an ECU or the wiring and often the wiring issues can be found by physical inspection, but not always.

I had similar fault.
Caused by loose connectors.
Passenger side, foot well, beneath triangle like plastic cover.
Forgive my description.

Hi guys thanks for the replies but we have still had no luck, at the moment land rover say they have checked the can bus but all seems fine, they have been all over the looms and this is not an obvious fault. Have you any other suggestions?

Thanks

Jez
