Can the dashboard of D3 be replaced by a D4 Dashboard?

D3 dashboard cracks with age can it be replaced by one from a D4. They seem like same fit.
Thanks,
Dave

Don't know why you would want to, the D3 dash is infinitely more practical and in keeping with the original design.

The D4 dashboard looks like it's made of leather or a pleather material and it does not look like it will crack by the passenger airbag area like the D3 one does.

Dont think dashboard..

Its called a cockpit module & is far more complex than youd think...all thatsite behhind it is atached, connected & integrated...
it fits the vehicle in one piece & connects via plugs & tube connectors - big job to take out & will be individual to the type of vehicle version you have
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

From D3 Dash to D4 Dash, it looks straight forward. What are the changes between them?

I'm not sure 'straight forward' covers it. Even without the underlying structural differences you would need to replace everything forward of the B-pillar, including the door trims, as everything is a different shape. That would trigger major electrical work too. The electronic gubbins you would need to fill all the new holes would require work way beyond my level as the CANBUS on the D4 uses a different protocol.

Really, my answer remains as above - no, it is not possible.

What does the dash of a D4 look like uninstalled for a comparison?
Does anyone have an image of it?
