big voltage loss
So as a precaution yesterday and while eurocar parts had the extra 30% off I bought a Bosch s5. Woke up this morning and the car is on the stops with no special programs and voltage is down from 12.6 to 11.5...
one thing I've noticed is that the power mirrors take one press to wake up now and another to move whereas before xmas only one press was needed...?
I powered everyting down yesterday and tested the battery draw which I thought was about a miliamp but now I'm thinking I've got the decimal point in the wrong place so it's nearer an amp......
I've changed the brake light switch this morning as I've had one for ages so thought I might as well put it on but I have a feeling it's going to be more than just that....
Battery ?
Was it fully charged.....they rarely are.
Use your C-Tek......if you haven't got one get one
The battery in your picture.....it has a Yuassa sticker ?BREXIT - done properly.

sorry the picture was from yesterday morning before I bought the bosch.
It's just that when I left the car it was reading 12.5 and this morning it had dropped by a whole volt, it took a little while to build up to 11.5, it started on 10.9
I have a battery charger but not a ctek, it isn't really for big batteries and charges at 4amps but I'll plug it in and give it a go. thanksmy06 D3

when i've had voltage drops on other landies
used a multimeter , then checked on the back of every fuse to find the draw
don't know if that's ok to do on a D3 with its electric complexity
hope u get it resolved
only thing i can think of in how to find out what's causing the draw on the battery
was always told not to check the airbag fuse with a multimeter
maybe someone else with more experience will be along to confirm if it's ok to do what i've suggested ??
but as said maybe ur battery isn't fully charged , know mine wasn't

So I'm testing the fuses with the car asleep with my multimeter, it's it normal for the readings to drop quickly when the probes are placed? I've got it set on 200mv which is the lowest it will go and sometimes when testing it reads about 10 then quickly drops.my06 D3
I suggest you use the guide from Robbie for checking current drains - http://www.disco4.com/forum/post1366423.htmlMark.

I've been using it, and it has been invaluable! Just going over it again and I think I was using the wrong setting on the multimeter I'm very new to electrical testing, but sure I'll get there... thanks guys!! my06 D3
