Off road Pyrenees 2016

I'm thinking of planning a trip to the Pyrenees next April. I have the road maps and details of off road tracks. I went with a company last year and whilst they were ok the tracks w ere easy enough to do and find on your own. Looking for 2/3 interested folk, preferably with some off road driving experience, easy to get on with and keen campers. The trip I did was really enjoyable but I felt I could do it in a more relaxed way. The most we can have is 4 vehicles. It will be a trip which we make up as we go along and find routes. If you are interested or know of routes in the Pyrenees please get in touch.
Thanks
A picture from last years trip

Off road 2016

Apparently April is too early in the year, so September / early October.

Amazing picture. Awesome vehicle. Have you any route details that you are willing to share?
I went with Landtreks last year but now fancy doing the trip for myself with a small convoy to add to the fun and safety.

We did the Pyrenees in 2013, and I recorded the entire route. You are welcome the route. PM me here if you are still looking

Hello, me and my father are looking at taking both our trucks out next year to conquer the Pyrenees! We both have disco 2's would it be possible to join up? Or is it strictly disco 3's?.

Regards

We go to the Pyrenees a couple of times a year.
If you go before mid May you wont get over some of the high passes, due to snow.
Have a look at this thread.http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=96554
As I have said in the above thread the road books from Vibraction are good.

That is not the Pyrenees,it's the Badenas Reales, just south of Pamplona.A very flat desert like nature park.

Just got back from the trip. 2 disco 3s and one G4 Defender. An absolutely brilliant trip. Thanks to Jeff and Jane for setting it up. Laughing all the way over the ten days. Will post a few pics of the trip when I have had a chance to unpack. Was also thinking of a quick write up to say what worked and what did not in terms of the kit i took.

If anyone has not done the pyrenees then it is very worthwhile. Hundreds of off road tracks, very friendly locals, eating out was no more than 15 euros which included 3 course meal, wine (which they kept bringing bottles out) or beer, coffee, bread and olives. Roads are incredibly free of traffic and no pot holes.

D3 Java Black 57 Plate SE, Night Breakers, Grabber ATs, Sidelight LEDs and best of all - Narpy torch. loads more to buy.

D4 61 plate XS (12Mod Year)
