D4 towing electrics
Hi all
I have just had 13pin towing electrics fitted to my d4 65 reg hse lux . The place that fitted them said they have programmed the car.
My problem is that when I put it in reverse the parking sensors come on and have to be manually switched off on the dash button . Is this correct ?
My last d4 turned them off automatically but did not have the dash button as it was a 2010 GS.
When speaking to the garage they said the programming is for the stability control and the car has been programmed correctly

On my 15my SE tech, rear parking sensors are automatically disabled when caravan electrics are connected, so I suggest yours have not been programmed correctly.

Almost certainly not programmed. Happened to me when the (main) dealer forgot to get my D4 ready despite me being on a train to collect the car. A mad panic followed and they fitted the electrics and didn't activate them. An annoying trip to Holland followed with the bike rack triggering the sensors. Beadles (my local main dealer and not the seller) fixed them for free. Really disappointing that main dealers get such simple things wrong.

On my Landmark you can go into the camera settings on the main central screen, scroll, to the right, you will find two options, one is the camera, the other is "settings" choose settings,
Top one is camera guide lines, 2nd is reversing sensors, chose the third one. You will notice that the reversing sensors will no longer be coloured.
