He is traveling via the tunnel so would be better staying at one before the tunnel and not having to drive past then all the way back again.
I would suggest the one at junctions 8 Bearsted CC site. this is just off the motorway by 5 minutes at most and is about 40 minutes north of the tunnel junction so you are not travelling more than necessary. Further more if you come out the site and turn left and travel about 3 miles there is the village of Bearsted which has fish chip shop, pubs etc MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

We always stay at Blackhorse farm when using the Tunnel - very close to the terminal. MY12 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand
