Hi, this is my first winter owning a disco 3 2005 122000miles on clock I have noticed when I first start it from cold it comes up saying something like fault no special functions available! But when I turn it on and off throughout the day it doesn't show up! is this just nothing to worry about or do I need to dig further and get it checked out on a fault finder tool?
many thanks for any help offered

How old is the battery? Could well be on its last legs.

Your battery is starting to tire, replace it.
You'll probably find if you charge your current battery with a ctek or similar, you'll improve cranking and won't get the fault message. Doing this periodically you should be able to keep your battery going for some time longer but ultimately it's past its best.Mods:
