Replacement speaker
Hi,
Does anyone know the best place to get a replacement off side rear lower door speaker? There are loads on eBay but they don't have the cover which I also need.
I have a 2006 Discovery 3 Metropolis edition

Try MMJ on here they are stripping some D3s down at the moment and have a huge stock of secondhand parts they will be able to help I am sure

The cover / grille is a part of the door card. its the speaker, this sits in a black plastic ring, this is located behind the door card. the Grille is then fitted from the outside, 3 locking tabs that you need to melt/glue to the black plastic ring. If you can get Bob to carfully remove the door card, undo the speaker, those 3 plastic luggs / locking tabs has a plastic mold on them, I did use a sharp knife and cut the mold out so i could slide the grille out and remove the ring. I had enough lenght of the plastic tabs left, so i used a lighter and melted the plastic. So now the grille is secure.

So do I need a new door card too? The speaker bass sounds awful so needs replacing, but it looks a bit sad too so would like to do the grill.
Previous owner broke it taking things to the tip so needs some tlc
Have spent £££ on suspension and other mechanics so feel like all the other bits should be restored too!

I upgraded from highline audio to logic7 audio. I din have to buy 5 New speakers, but it comes without grille. TLO told me That i should buy 5 d pilar covers with speaker, this worked out cheaper than buying just the speakers alone. And it comes with the grill and the Black plastic ring.Used a sharp knife and a lighter for tools. If you are lucky mmj can get you the needed parts. The doorcard needs to be removed. Thats an easy Job.
