Washer fluid low warning light each week
Hi, I guess this could possibly well be normal in this weather on daily M1 commute 90miles return.
I've filled washer all to the top and it just lasts a week before low warning appears again. Don't get me wrong, I'm not holding down washer permanently LOL, just use when the screen gets bit dirty which happens damn quick.
Haven't noticed any leeking under the car either. Previous washer on Toyota Avensis on same driving lasted considerably longer.
How long approx avg does full washer last for you before low warning comes on.
A bit annoying to fill up every week, or just winter time?
Cheers
Rob

Depends if you have headlamp washer jets as well which obviously consumes more.
Some don't have them.
At least in the Discovery the headlamp washers only operate when the headlights are on, i think every 3rd or 4th operation of the washers.
In my Volvo V70 they operate even when lights are off, and can get through the 6 litres in a matter of days in winter.

Funny just filled mine up a second time in a matter of weeks, this time however the warning triangle would not clear! Even after switching car off. Had to leave car ignition off for a lot longer before it cleared !

It could be that a new float is needed in the washer bottle. Not registering the level correctly

We would have some chance of offering an opinion if we knew the volume of liquid being added.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I thought the same about mine so I checked the amount going in.
Mine takes 4 litres when the light comes on and I think the capacity is about 5 litres so would seem about right.
They do seem to get through a lot of screenwash.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.

Filling the washer Bottle near every week on my 2016 and lasted at least 3-4 times longer in previous 2012 D4! Has the tank capacity been reduced to save a kilo or two?2016 D4 landmark in Yulong White

I don't think the tank capacity has changed. Did your previous D4 have headlamp washers as your current one will have, they use a lot of fluid?

A friend of mine has just got a RRS and was offered a choice of wash bottle sizes!
Maybe you do have the smaller one!
Change in size from a 2.7 engine 6.3 litres and the 3.0 engine to 5.6 litres it seems.
After two trips this week from home up to north of Boston, 180 miles each way, y roads due to the agriculture, Headlights on all the time due to fog and night driving, just topped up the washer bottle with 1.5 litres.

Having just had a chat with another friend, in his RRS he now actually has two filler tanks almost side by side in the off side front wing , fitted at manufacturing, maybe you have two bottles again as this was an extra
