Annoying ping...or is it a bong? |
|
Hi all,
Had the Disco 4 weeks and about once a day a get a ping,(bong) and a red light on the instrument panel, but it's too quick to see what it is. Had a quick check of all the usual stuff, but everything seems OK.
Can anyone she any light on what it might, (or tell me how to disable the ping!).

Is your wife wearing her seat belt ?
While driving press you hand on the passenger seat base and see if this causes the same bing and red light. Keep an eye on the road of course
You may have a faulty seat sensor that gets triggered somehow.
You can disable the seat belt warning bing (not the light) by inserting and removing the seat belt lock 9 times consecutively in the space of 1 minute.
Just hold down the red seat belt release, it makes it easier.
You'll hear the bong as it disables.
Do the same to re-enable the warning bong.
