Multiple faults, limp home

Read loads of posts on this but none meet what's happening on my 2008 D3 2.7

Car drives perfectly when cold but once the engine warms up on accelerating, I get HDC, engine system fault, suspension lowering, park brake fault and transmission fault and the F appears on the screen

If you drive it like you stole it, everything is fine but it's not the car to be driving like that.

So far I've done :-
New battery exite 017 as read on here
New brake switch
Cleaned earth points, that I've found
Checked battery and alternator voltage, 12.45 just battery and 13.88 with engine running
Fuel filter changed in Jan with EGR valve in a local very expensive garage!

I'm hoping it's not a fuel pump after seeing the price!!

Car has done 46,000 miles

Anything else I can try before sending it back to a garage?

Read the fault codes, & post them here.

Sorry my little reader isn't showing any codes. To get them read in the local garage they want £90 plus VAT.

When I had the EGR fault before I could see that one but I can't see any faults now

Was hoping someone has had the same symptoms before

It's a well documented issue, but in the grand scheme of guesswork diagnostics, £100 to have your fault codes read and an hour or so of labour will be much cheaper than replacing parts...

I know what your saying. Last time I took it to this garage I came out with a £600 bill for a EGR value diag and fuel filter. I feel I was over charged and a few days later the issue came back so am reluctant to give them anymore money.

I was just hoping someone has had this before. Last resort is to take it back 😞

It booked into another garage Tuesday.

But on a side note, D3 ownership it's going to be a smooth one! I love driving the car and will have it a few years so a good fault code reader seems a must buy item. What is the best one to buy to get the codes out?

Have you replaced the brake light bulbs? Can cause the same issues as the switch

This is an awkward one as the previous owner has a a D4 light conversion done on it to LED in approx 2010.

My issue seems to be when the car is at full temp and when accelerating to go up a hill. When the engine is cold it runs like a dream.

I'm going to see what the diagnostic pulls up, I'm thinking its some other sensor playing up but the break light bulb is niggling me a bit, with the conversion. They are genuine LR parts but how does that work with a D3 computer. Question

If it has LED lamps fitted, these can be discounted Thumbs Up

It does sound as though it is related to fuel pressure

That's good to hear cause the LED clusters do look good

I guess I'll find out on Tuesday about the fuel pressure. Kind of hope it's not one of the pumps cause of the £££ but just want it fixed and working correctly again now. I miss driving it and chilling out

Thought I nailed this issue with wheel alignment, but it's back!!

Took it to the local LR garage and they've said its a fuel pressure problem. They pressed the value under the engine cover and said its likley to be the high pressure fuel pump. They've quoted me £1800-£2000 to replace as they said on the 2008 it's body off. I've asked to make sure it's that cause of the cost involved so there charging me an hours labor to confirm, booked in Thursday. The fuel filter was changed last January approx 10,000 miles ago.

Does the body actually have to come off and is it really that much??

Hi no the body does not need to come off. I did mine myself with help from disco mikey. I got a brand new pump from eurocarparts for about £550.
Mine is also a 2008 model.

Cheers
