Since a long time I have the average fuel meter display around 12,5 l/100km. Response is very slow and changes very little depending on throttle.
Have found out that by resetting when driving the meter starts high 23 l/100km but fast moves to around 10 l/100km or even lower. Response to throttle changes display fast.
Questions:
Can resetting really change fuel consumption?
Could there be something wrong with one of the sensors or ECU?
Or is there something else going on.
No faultcodes.

My understanding is it is an accumulated average, so when you re-set it starts again and the reading will be 'actual' instant at that second. Then it will start averaging up/down everytime the engine is running until the next re-set.
