I wonder if it is normal to have a little play in the seat? When I accellerate or brake hard there s a little bit of movement in the seat. Not a great deal but enough to notice. I haven't checked the obvious mounting bolts yet but I just wondered if this is normal on a 120k car?

Do a search on here. It is a common issue and there is a TSB for it. I followed the procedure and while I wouldn't say it cured it, it's better than it was. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

I think you are fine to have a little play in the seat - just don't get caught

Hi,
Had same issue used guide on form and sorted only takes 10min.
You may find the worm drive cable comes out of the rail and motor, mine did but don't worry just refit to rail turn clockwise 13 times then refit to motor, job done.

Thanks for the help on this fellas, I'll give it a go.
Hopefully the skewing of the rails doesn't cause any extra load on the seat motor?

Had a go at this today but fell at the first hurdle.
How hard is it to remove the flexibility cable from the motor? Didn't want to force and risk damage what with the seat being set to its highest setting.
Anyone done this for themselves and can advise please?
