Warm air through drivers side vents only

I have warm air blowing through drivers side vents and floor vents but cold air through passenger side. I always use the heater on manual by selecting the manual buttons for feet/face etc. I've got both temp controls on max. When I change the temp of the passenger side to cold it gets colder but will not get warm. The same happens to their rear passenger vents behind the centre console, cold passenger side and warm drivers side.

I've read through other similar posts here on the forum and done the diagnosis/reset button combo and it appears to report back as OK. I haven't been in the car since doing that so don't know if the reset has done anything yet.

The fault seems to point to the passenger side blender motors. Can anyone back me up on this and also provide part numbers I'll need. A guide to replacement would also help!

Drivers side heated seat has also stopped working, Sod's law at this time of year!

Obviously no replies, but did you get anywhere with this? We did 1000miles at Christmas with SWMBO complaining that her side was cold! Fortunately the heated seat was still working, but I suppose I ought to do something about the nag mode.

well i'm still woking on it. Its in the garage today and they think its the blend motor as it cant be anything else. Hopefully they will have stripped the dash down by now. I understand they are reluctant to do all that work if it turns out not to be the blend motor so i'm assuming they will use one of those cameras they can shove down the vent to see if the flaps are moving.

I'll keep you posted.

I was going to tackle it myself but as I have garage repairs cover with the AA i thought i might as well not get my hands dirty. I didn't fancy ripping out the dash if im honest.

On mine it was because i changed the blender motor put it all back together and still cold I should of guessed as if i turned it down to cold it blew icy but when on hot it was still cold just not as cold. It is doable your self just a lot of faff to get to.

those symptoms are exactly the same as mine, if i turn down the temp it goes icy but on max it just gets a bit warmer but still cold.

so does that suggest its the matrix blocked up?

It sounds like mine but ave you tried A HVAC reset to see if it shows any faults ?
To be honest it still could be either but it is that much hassle to get to the matrix or the blender motors it may be worth changing the lot.
