High Beam assist

A question for the techies re above. Some people have made a very valid point that this feature is a real nuisance in fog. Would it be possible to deactivate this feature when the front fog lights are activated??

You can temporarily disable it if needed

auto high beam will be cancelled. To return to
auto high beam, push the stalk to the high
beam position and then return it to the central
position.

Fog does confuse it! As above you can instantly cancel it with the stalk. You can also turn the light switch to manual on, which you have to do to use the fog lights, this disables the hba.

Fog usually confuses the Auto Lights anyway, normally have to manually put the lights on as they will not come on in daylight fog, manually turned on the HBA will not activate.

Why would you let the car decide when you need lights on?

It's been foggy here in Norfolk most mornings and evenings for a week. I see so many people with just DLR lamps on (front only!) and then those with no lights on at all. And of course those who turned their rear fog lamps on last week, and now dont realise they are still on!
It never ceases to amaze me how many drivers dont understand the lighting on their cars, or how to use lights in fog.
