Interested for my 8 year old son but I have a couple of questions as this will be our first foray into gaming apart from iPad since my Commodore 64
How modern/old is it?
Can you still get new games for it?
Can he play with his mates online with newer Xboxes?
Anything else we should know?

How modern/old is it?
= 2 years old
Can you still get new games for it?
= Yes, still making and selling new 360 games
Can he play with his mates online with newer Xboxes?
= Yes, he will need an online account and play against others. Only with 360 game owners though
Anything else we should know?
= My son doesn't really play with it that often, so it is lightly used. The Kinect part is good as it allows you to play by moving your body
Oh yes, uses HDMI to plug into the back of the TV Iggy/Ieuan

I've got two Xbox 360s and so far have not felt the need to update to the Xbox One. I too am of the the "Elite" era

- The current generation Xbox is the Xbox One. It superseded the Xbox 360 *but* the 360 is an awesome piece of kit.
- Yes, you can still get new games for it though not every title will necessarily be released on every platform. There is a huge catalogue of titles for it - most of which will be available at a fraction of the price of their Xbox One / PS4 equivalents, especially 2nd hand through eBay etc
- It depends. If they are playing an Xbox 360 title on their Xbox One the answer is yes. If they're playing an Xbox One title then although it's technically possible, AFAIK most title's don't support this.
- Make sure you get hold of a copy of Halo. A true classic.
£100 for an Xbox 360 and a bunch of great games? Bargain. Even if you feel the need to upgrade to an Xbox One at some later date, you wont regret it.2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate
