D3 Steering Wheel Retrim
Hi all,
My D3 (Mark Y's old chariot) suffered pretty badly from the usual 'sticky' deterioration and I wondered what to do, I read and was recommended to Royal Steering Wheels in Aylesbury so after a chat I placed an order for exactly what I wanted.... retrimed with smooth leather top and bottom, perforated leather at the sides and introduce thumb grips.
I visited Jack at the weekend to get it swapped over and I'm absolutely impressed with his work and cost, it's made such a difference to the feel of the drive.
Very happy!
Dan.

I had my VW T5 steering wheel re trimmed by Jack 2 years ago and it still looks as good as the day he did it!
Have a look at his site as he does wheels to order and will send you one on an exchange basis so that you can fit the new one then send him your old one and the car is never off the road

Royal are only in Aylesbury Italiot
I have a spare wheel that you are welcome to borrow if you want to send off yours. I am in Bracknell.
Alternatively, Royal usually have some ready trimmed wheels so that you can drive to them and do a swap.
Obviously, they charge for this service but try giving them a call and see what they can do for you.

I have a D4 wheel for sale at present. It has no switchgear or heating but is in good nick, very very slight mark to top edge where it's been leaned against something. On eBay for £50, sell here for £40 if anyone interested.

You understand it's a D4 wheel, smooth leather and unheated?
The D3 switchgear doesn't fit so you have to use D4 switches AFAIK.
I can take cash on collection if you're anywhere near Hornchurch in Essex, I'd prefer a gift of PayPal and post is about £7.50 via Hermes.
Let me know what you want to do.
