Petromax Fire Kettle

Anyone use one of these. Thinking of getting one. Prefare this design to other makes due to it having a proper handle for ease of pouring. Any thoughts/comments welcome. Cheapest I've seen the FK2 is £50.95 on the bay with free postage.

Not seen these before, Andy - Interesting though! Good point about the handle.

I've do have the Petromax coffee pot, and despite constant use on the gas hob at home, as well as when camping on both the petrol stove, wilderness stove, and also on open fire, it's stood up fine to the last couple of years' use so I'd like to think the quality will be similar!

Not seen that before. Personally I still use the Jetboil that I've had for the past 12 years! It's had a new burner, cup, thermal wrap. I think the only original bit is the top!

Got a Kelly kettle too. That's more of a challenge, but reasonably entertaining to watch.

Like the look of those - the handles in particular. I've got a Ghellie Kettle (well three actually), they're great so the design is well proven - same idea with a whistle on the medium & large one.

Do I need another one .........

I have a storm kettle of another brand. Better in that it has a chain that you use to tilt the kettle when boiled. I've also adapted the base so it'll work with a trangia which is a lot cleaner but uses a lot of fuel to boil.
