Parking sensors stopped working, help please

hi all, i have a disco 3 hse, 56 plate, ive had a warning on my dash saying that the front sensors are inactive with the red light flashing on the dash, now all of a sudden ive got nothing, no sensors,(rear ones also) and no flashing light, ive checked fuse 36 but that was fine, ive put the igntion on and put it in drive but ive got no noises at all from front or rear, any ideas as to why all of a sudden they have gone altogether, thanks in advance,

one or more of your sensors is stuffed, Ive got one on mine that plays up when it rains hard, so ive ordered 4 new ones, why 4 ? because you gotta take off the whole front bumper to get at them, so why put off the future as when one goes, another will soon fallow suit, so you dont wanna take off the bumper 4 times,

with the engine off but the dash lights on. put the car into reverse, so the system activates the parking sensors, walk round to the front of the car and put your ear, onto each sensor and listen for a clicking sound, when you find the one that's not clicking then you will have found your faulty one,

Front sensors, that ive purchased and the look real good quality,

I think the parking brake needs to be off for them to be active as well.

Parking Sensors

Had parking sensors fault come up on mine day before yesterday, no warning message on the dash, just flashing button and high pitched noise from rear sounder.

Checked for clicking in the sensors- nothing.

Had fault codes read- something like failed power supply to front and rear? Checked fuses, all ok.

Read lots on here on the forum about the same issues, with some saying about taking the bumper off and cleaning etc.

Went outside with the hosepipe and blasted the underside of the rear bumper at each point of the sensors until i could see water coming out around each sensor.

Re started the disco.....fault gone and all fully working?! Smile

Just thought id share this as a first step to check before spending lots of money/ removing bumpers etc although I'm aware this isn't exactly a professional fix Smile

I'll keep you informed if the fault returns!

Me either, but as I would of been removing the bumper and replacing looms/ sensors anyway, I thought I've not really got anything to lose.

Will see how it goes,
