Stebel TM80/2 Magnum Horns Upgrade

So after the old codger in the supermarket car park today failed to notice the big 3 grey Discovery to his right when he was pulling out of his parking space which was blasting its horn in a meagre attempt to get noticed, I've decided to do something about it!

The Fiamm behind the grill has failed, so I thought i'd swap them both out for something better.

Having reading previous posts about the use of relays, I've learn't the following to be correct.

The existing Disco wiring has a built in relay for the generic horns.
The current load for the horn system is 15Amps

Whilst the Stebel Nautilus sounds great, it's probably a bit overkill for our use. Other than today, I can't remember the last time i used the horn on the car in anger. The Nautilus also has a load of 18Amps.

So i'm thinking the Stebel TM80/2 Magnum would be my best option.

Looking at the Stebel product guide it states that the current required for the TM80/2 Magnum is 12A @12V (6A per unit). So would I be correct in presuming that I would not have need for a relay as the LR system is designed for 15Amps & therefore i'm 3Amps under the max. I would therefore simply need to replace the existing units, cut the LR connectors & replace them with female spade connectors.

Any help advise, suggestions or feedback most welcome. I'm due back at the superstore next weekend & need to be better equipped Thumbs Up
