Doesn't matter what colour, they all end up black from brake dust It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Without going crazy as SWMBOdar is on me too, which hobby drill?
Taking into account I have no hobbies apart from travel/caravan/SWMBO and a proper Dremel is a drill too far!
I've seen some on "you know where" and they start at £8 up to £160. I don't want to flatten the damn thing halfway through a caliper and 240v is easy on my drive so was thinking a corded one. I do appreciate the cordless are far more convenient and much easier to use. Anyone out there with any experience of these tools?

I've never used a dremmel on a brake calliper and not convinced of the need. A large cheap scotchbrite pad (red) does the necessary and if you want a better finish on the exposed bits then any tool that can spin a scotchbrite disc (red then blue) will do the job a bit better and quicker.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
As Robbie states just scotch em.
They are usually well pitted and the inner side will be unless you are lucky and bought it with brand new callipers and disks all round as I did
Easy to get a great finish on em then

How much did the set up cost if you don't mind me asking? - had Brembo on my last 3 cars and would seriously consider that mod when the originals needed replacing anywayLast of the D4 HSE...

I'm quite pleased with how they turned out , I fitted HEL brake lines too .
Now they have done about 500 miles they do feel more positive . You're not afraid of the dark are you ?

No to a Dremel then, wife's pleased and I didn't even tell her!
Scotchbrite order placed via "that place" along with Ferrari red paint coz the tart in me said so.
I'll get a satin black coat on the hub part of the disc but leave the stud face clean.
That's my weekend spent sat in the cold.

That looks incredible!
I must ask why are a lot of you in possession of Brembo's? Mine are unmarked and of the "very ordinary" type. I'll have to go out late at night with my trolley jack to see if I can get some!FFRR 2017 4.4SDV8 Autobiography. Cost so much I must be mad!
