Bog standard halogen headlight out and, as I had 400 miles of night driving and my suit on, I had it fitted by a well known parts and accessories chain. Lad fitted it by delving and did not remove the unit ( two minute job as I have the slides greased and keep a loop of string to pull the awkward ones up). Still after a few minutes he was successful. It turned out in a couple of weeks when I investigated the odd beam that the wire retainer was not seated on the bulb collar but had destroyed the plastic black insulator where the bulb spades fit into the wire ends so where can I buy a replacement little black insulating gizmo!

Try a breakers yard who have a D3. Also, have a look on ebay.

Had similar problem when I got mine the connector had melted and damaged one of the terminals. The bulb is an H7 so two way connector.
Just need a right angle Faston connector and a short piece of wire if harness is damaged. Once the headlamp is out its a Quick crimp and solder and push on to the bulb.
Or get one of these: -
