Yellow Engine Warning Light |
|
Had a grumbly engine at 40mph when it's at 1.5rpm (low gear). Loss of power in the low range and a bit of smoke from the exhaust. Then I turned it on yesterday and the yellow engine light came on and stayed on.
It's running fine, just low power in low revs at 40mph. Turbo working fine when I accelerate, just low rev power at 40mph and some smoke from the exhaust.
Anyone know what is causing this?
Like I said she is still running fine otherwise...
I'm suspecting it's the EGR Valve rather than anything turbo related...
How long can it run with failed EGR as I have a couple of trips I need to make...?

If it's a failed EGR, it'll be totally gutless below about 3000 rpm then it'll take off like a scalded cat.
There's really no mistaking a failed EGR tbh. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails

I'm not scared, I'm outta here.

Cool... What's the telltail signs for a turbo failure?
Can anyone recommend someone in or around London reputable who can replace EGRs at a reasonable price?
