The other day put auto in Neutral on Hill in a Q. Still in Neutral let brake of and I stayed put. Into drive no go, into R and moved back a foot scared driver behind!!. Then it would drive forward but not roll freely. Did not use epb brake again until I could strip and evaluate. When I got car it had new discs and pads.
But when I stripped it down. The EPB shoes were a different matter. One side had some look like original to manufacture brake lining delaminating shoes. the other side sertainly newer but rusty shoes. Who would service one side and not the other? No copperslip to be found. How many have dumped EPB on quick release as a result of poorly serviced brakes. Shoes rubbing for a while as wear on inside of drum.
Happy now it's done. All new shoes pads and springs and copperslip! Another 5hrs of life devoted to Landrover ownership.

You'd be amazed the amount of garages that just do one side as " thats the only side thats sticking"....Bodsys Brake Bible
Surly the laws of probability dictate if one side is bust then the other ain't far behind. I would never replace just one leaf or coil spring. Sorry old habits die hard. Air thingies may be different. But I would like my heavy D3 to stop in a straight line. Land rovers are to prevent you having idle hands.

Must live in a different world the people who think if they replace the one on the faulty side and think that will do .The older I get the better I was .
