Is it possible to rebuild a front air strut on a 2006 LRS?

Hi,
I've just spent the afternoon replacing a leaking front right air-strut on my 2006 LR3 (120k miles) with a nice new unit from Arnott. The old leaky one is now one my workbench. What to do with it? I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the original left strut springs a leak. Has neon heard of a rebuild kit (or rebuilder) that could get this monster shock ready for the inevitable transplant?

Regards,

Eric

Personally I would always change shockers in pairs. In fact I changed all 4 of mine at about 160k as they had lost their damping ability to a large extent.

As for rebuilding, I wouldn't bother.

I would just replace the whole strut and do it as a pair. The cost of the whole strut make rebuilding an unattarctive option.

Not worth rebuilding, not that it can't be done, it's just to expensive. The individual cost of the parts add up to a lot more than the complete new unit. But if you really want to go down that road check out this link http://miamibritish.com/shop/land-rover-fr...-lr4-allm/ $310 for that when for a few dollars more you could buy http://miamibritish.com/shop/land-rover-fr...80-dunlop/ . It's a no brainer as far I'm concerned, scrap the old one.
