rear doors are closed but system says-open
Hello LR team,
my rear doors do show sometimes that they are open. I open and close them several times and I cant see the reason why it is open sometimes.
Do you know where is the sensor located that feels if the door is closed? could this be simply dirty or getting old - 7 years old car, the back door are not really used. Out of 20 times opening it shows the fault - once.

I take it you mean the rear passenger doors and not the tail gate.
The door switch is part of the catch mechanism, you could try wd40 to see if its gummed up but i think your going to have to replace.Andrew

My near side front door is doing it now. The door closed sensor is inside the lock mechanism.
I've just ordered a new genuine LR door lock. I had already replaced this door lock 2 years ago, with a cheap version. Now I know why it was cheaper!Richard
