Tow trust - which part is removable

Hello,

Sorry for the stupid question but I have a tow trust TL1HKF fitted. Couple of questions if I may?

Which part of it is rwmoveable and how?
Also I put the key in and it turns but the actual nob goes in but does not turn. What's that part for?
