Tailgate stuck ... pic question

It's happened!

About to go on holidat and it's stuck shut.

Electric button firing but no open.

Rear carpet removed. What do I need to do to open it?

Thanks mate.

Managed to manually release it with brute force and pliers! I now have a temp fix for holiday that consists of string and cable ties. The dogs lead is enabling me to release the boot from the second row! So mod con!

Just need to find out where to get the cable from! Thumbs Up

An ugly fix... but it's temporary and only £3 and an old Allen key!

Now full operational!
