Is it possible to set the Eco mode off by default using IIDTool? i'm getting sick of pressing so many buttons every time I start the car. Laughing

I've read it's possible to disable it by removing a battery terminal but i'd prefer to just default to off with the option of enabling it via the button if that's possible Question

We have looked at the basics for this one but it would require a bit more work to implement. We may revisit this feature and allow disabling if technically feasible in time but I cannot put a date of release.

Hi Pat,

We haven't had time to work on this one. It's quite extensive so it will take a while.

I like the stop start, it's good for the environment and hopefully saves a little fuel ?

My problem is that it operates once on a journey and than never again during my 45 min trip to work, where it should be operating lots.

I end up turning the engine off sometimes when I'm in a long queue, which is a pain.

Is this a fault ?

My MY15 had a stop/start fault and LRA did a software update for it in my office car park. It worked.

Is your D4 still under warranty? If it is get LRA to sort it, they'll probably replace the battery if needed. Thumbs Up

I've just got mine going again and things to check are -
Good quality battery connections
- decent charge in both batteries
- software upgrade
- reset BMS

Don't rush to change batteries without the above first just in case Thumbs Up

Saves a little fuel - possibly, but if you were that bothered you'd have bought something else. Laughing

And I'd rather use a little more fuel and have less risk of the engine doing one.

Where is the secondary battery is it in the right hand compartment next to ABS unit with thick cables going to it?

Have I missed something? Why not just press the eco button after you start the engine.

But, if there were a 10 second delay and it were possible to to disable it permanently, we'd still be paying the higher rate of VED, so I'd suggest that it's entirely fit for purpose Thumbs Up

Sorry I really can't agree, in fact au contraire:-

1. There must be increased wear on the starter motor & ring gear.

2. There must be increased engine wear, particularly to main bearings, caused by multiple starts.

I accept that this wear may well not become apparent until well after the warranty has expired - but it must be a concern for those of us who keep their cars more than 3 or 4 years.

just wait for its battery to loose all the juice problem solved

charge both batteries with C-Tec before you let the car go to new owner no faults at all
