Land Rover, tough cars

Down from the second floor to the undeground parking level of a big commercial center in Brescia Italy. about 10 meters
In the news they mention a Range Rover but it looks more like a Discovery to me

Mother and son are not even in serious condition as initially tought

They are very lucky if they aren't seriously injured they could have been killed, that would have been a fair impact when they hit the ground. That won't polish out.

If it had been a small city car they would both have been killed, so as the OP title suggests, Discovery's are fairly strong and safe vehicles!

Ouch Shocked

Looks like a narrow 'gap' maybe prevented it going nose first?

One of the paramedics must have a D3. The D4 is already missing its front wings, grille, headlights, front bumper and the arches are neatly put aside!

Whilst they look safe... if it had been a small city car it wouldn't have got through the railings and over the retaining wall to start with!
