Help required with D4 Sat-Nav

Hi Folks, I have a D4 HSE, first registered 31/10/2012. I have an intermittent fault with the Sat Nav; after about 30 minutes use it "loses itself" and shows an on-screen position many miles from the actual on-road position.
I have the Land Rover extended warranty, and the highly trained Land Rover technicians at my local Land Rover main dealer (a well known national company, with an outlet on the North East of Chelmsford, Essex) have diagnosed the fault as a defective Sat Nav aerial.
This problem is taking a long time to resolve, and they are currently working on the "Sharks Fin" aerial on the roof (held on by masking tape at the moment) having apparently ordered an incorrect replacement aerial.
Apart from the inordinately long time they are taking to get this repair completed (booking confirmed by them on 29th September!!!!), it is my understanding the Sat-Nav aerial is in fact located in the roof mounted brake light area.
What Land Rover approved document can I quote at them so that the highly trained Land Rover technicians will realise they are working on the wrong part of the vehicle?
It's bad enough the vehicle is so un-reliable I have to pay for an extended warranty, without having to put up with "highly trained Land Rover mechanics" not understanding what they are supposed to be doing.
Any help will be gratefully received before I set fire to it!

Richard

I thought the shark fin was the DAB aerial only.

France 2009 Discovery 4 TDV6 SE Manual Buckingham BlueDiscovery 4

It amazes me how many LR dealers believe the shark fin is related to the GPS or BT phone. It does worry me. Does LR train these 'technicians' or can anyone work at a LR dealership?

My 'ultra basic' D4 2.7 Manual (yes they do exist - my LR dealer in France told me that I didn't know my A from my E and that I had a D3 with the 3 badge replaced with a 4. Then he asked me for the VIN - learn something new everyday! Rolling with laughter ) does have BT and large screen HD based SatNav. It does NOT however have a shark fin.

Strangely enough, I do see D4s here, one of the other 3 in the country I think Shocked with shark fins. Must be standard fit to higher level cars, as there is no DAB radio here...
