I'd be up for it
Just had a cracking day on Salisbury plain
2 X TD5 Discos
2 X 2.5 DSE Rangies
1 X 300 TDI Disco
They were all open mouthed at what the "posh" car could do
often wonder how the bmw, Audi 4x4 s etc would get on a proper off road event and not just going on school runs
another reason why i upgraded to a disco , with them being such a fantastic off road
but there's always a downfall , me behind the wheel

on the last landy meet i went on , i took my freelander on the greenlaning event surprising quite a few people of what they could do, but of course have the height restriction and nowhere near the classification of the disco
am trying to learn what all the different systems are on this d3
very impressed that u can have one front and one rear wheel off the ground and still have traction
had landies i think for around 30 x years now and still haven't lost the bug for them

great pic , good to see one covered in mud
haven't seen many d3 with raised air inlets
have just fitted mine with coppers on the front , will be good to see what there like off road , still got to change the backs
company , A plan insurance i found was the best , was with adrian flux before and they wanted to royally rip me off after being with them for 6x years
found A plan extremely helpful, good customer service and matched other ins company prices

i feel really sorry for younger drivers in how they get hammered for insurance , my son is 25 and reduced his insurance by having a black box fitted
when i was with adrian flux on my freelander they charged me £400 quid, have 5x years ncb, clean licence , 3,000 miles per year, car parked on drive , then on the D3 , they wanted £1600 quid
i said to them forget it, they wasn't even prepared to move, so after getting in touch with A plan ins they quoted a 1/4 of what adrian flux wanted , fantastic service , rang me to ensure if i needed any breakdown which i did do and protected ncb,
wish they would scrap ins and put it on fuel , that way there wouldn't be anyone dodging there car ins

MHP , sorry didn't see the reply , my aplogise
my son had one of those fitted , think he left it for 2 x years then changed ins companies and had it removed
my son is 25 and i thought to see if i could get him as a named driver on my d3 , couldn't get a quote under 3k
will have to find a private bit of land so he have a drive
he adores defenders but ins companies won't touch him
but now he's seen my disco he wants one of these, seeing he's now got a little boy needs some creature comforts
